I am a primary school teacher. For many years, I have noticed that students have problems with their emotions. Sometimes it is difficult for them to show their emotions or deal with them.

First, I started by introducing the concepts of emotional literacy and intelligence.

Emotional literacy involves self-awareness and recognition of one's own feelings and knowing how to manage them.

Emotional intelligence is defined as the ability to understand and manage your own emotions, as well as to recognize and influence the emotions of those around you.

What did the students learn from this project?

Understands that emotions can be controlled, knows that there are strategies for dealing with unpleasant emotions, acquires a positive self-image and develops self-esteem, learns that he can influence his emotions and behavior as well as the ability to control them,to talk openly about emotions, to share the emotion with another.

These are a few examples of activities from this project.

Map of my heart -On the map, students write or draw what makes them happy.

A cube of emotions-They roll the dice, and for the emotion they guess, they have to say when and why they felt that way.

Tree of kindness- Students write down acts of kindness they have done on stickers and stick them on the tree.

Emotion has color - Wheel with the colors of emotions - each student spins the wheel and, based on the color, says which emotion corresponds and when and why they felt that way.
