The Araucaria Community, a network of ministers and secretaries of education across Latin America, held its third annual meeting in Washington, D.C., in January 2025. Coordinated by the Varkey Foundation Comunidad Araucaria, the gathering brought together official representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, El Salvador, and Suriname.

During the event, participants discussed the region's most pressing educational challenges, explored opportunities to strengthen alliances, and renewed their commitment to transforming education across Latin America. This meeting reinforced the importance of collaboration and shared learning in shaping the future of education in the region.
