BioClimate Restoration Empowerment Initiative is a project I initiated to restore ecosystem through Greening Schools in Bomet and Kericho, Kenya.

Tye project aligned to SDG 4 on Education for Sustainable Development and SDG 13 on Climate Action.

The initiative is implemented through Climate literacy sessions integrated with tree planting in schools. Teachers and learners are empowered with information on drivers of climate change, mitigation and adaptation measures.

On Monday 13 March 2023, I donated 50 Cypress tree seedlings and led the planting at Kiptewit junior/primary school in Kericho, Kenya. This was to commemorate Commonwealth Day 2023 centred on " Forging a sustainable and peaceful common future".

The project has been implemented in eight public schools with a target of 20 schools by the end of 2023. A total of 2050 tree seedlings has been planted.
